It all started on hogmanay (or old years night as its sometimes called in Scotland) when I knew something had to change and big time. I wanted to change my life in 2009 and really connect with what I felt sure in my heart I was here to do.

I had tried so many things and explored so many paths, had some success for sure and enough to keep me on the look out for the next step. However I felt that something big was needed to really shake my life up as it felt stuck! I had lost my Dad and my Grandfather in 2008 so it had been a very emotional time for me. I felt empty and knew there must be more to my life than what seemed to be my fate at that moment! I knew this feeling as it indicated I needed to take heed and change the direction I was headed in. Intuitively and retrospectively it was a destiny decision and often when we are faced with a crossroads or a feeling of emptiness it’s because we are being asked to follow our calling and align with our destiny. These are always big decisions and are often accompanied by a feeling of tension, emptiness or intense desire to know more about your purpose.

So I enrolled on a business course called Alchemy and as soon as I clicked submit I felt an inner call to also contact David Smith at CMED

in Chicago to see if I could do the Sacred Contracts course. I had worked with Caroline Myss’s work since 1998 when it virtually saved

my life-no kidding!! So I sent an e-mail on the 1/1/09 to David who is Caroline Myss’s business partner asking about the course.

I had thought of doing the course before but this time it was a really strong intuitive hunch to do so. 

I was working full on and so taking time off and paying all the costs to go to Chicago seemed to be an insurmountable obstacle.

I told David about my interest in running Sacred contracts workshops and offering guidance to clients to enable them to connect with Caroline’s work plus my own insights garnered over the last 20 years of studying Soul centred astrology and working with clients one to one and in seminars. I explained that I had already worked with Caroline in Scotland twice doing the Entering the castle workshops and asked if it was possible to do the course as a correspondent student and thus gain the qualification and information that I knew I required. He came back saying it had never been done but for some reason he was willing to give me the chance to do it and so after some negotiation it was agreed. I would be the first student to do so with CMED.

Little did I know that my life was about to change……..

And so to cut a very long story short that one decision activated my own Sacred Contract.

Of that I am now absolutely certain!

I’ve ended up going to Chicago twice, spent an amazing 3 days in Belfast in May that blew my mindset wide open and then a week

at La Manga in Spain being liberated from the past and catapulted into my new life of living my own Sacred Contract and the ability to understand more about what I am here to do!

 I truly want to share what I’ve learned with you so that you too can turn your life around and really connect with your Sacred Purpose in 2010!

 So I’d like to share some of the highlights and insights from Sacred contracts that may show you more about your Sacred purpose.

What is your Sacred Contract

An agreement you have made with the Divine prior to your birth to experience certain key events, relationships, challenges and opportunities that will script your personal life plan and enable you to fulfil your mission or Sacred purpose in this lifetime.  This life plan is your Sacred Contract!

You have been given a support team of 12 archetypes that will be your teachers as you play this out in reality. These archetypes as identified by Carl Jung are Universal patterns of power and can be seen as your life essence and contain the talents and attributes that make you uniquely YOU!

The aim of connecting with your Sacred contract is to: move past the contract your ego would like you to have to the contract your Soul actually agreed to.

To really connect and activate this contract requires 2 questions

Where am I going?

Who will go with me?

An understanding of the bigger picture and knowing yourself will help you to respond appropriately and align with your contract allowing everything you require to enable it to unfold just as it should.

There will be challenges and moments of being asked to make key choices. These are the moments when you shift your life from fate to destiny and this is an ongoing process. Each time you choose your destiny you resonate with your Divine potential and can gain insights into your Sacred purpose. Each time you choose safety over what you know is required you keep yourself stuck in your fate and may re-enact patterns or experiences that will repeatedly push you to shift into one of empowerment and destiny. No-one can do it for you and no-one will force you to either. It’s up to YOU!

Archetypes are the architects of your life and they are everywhere. Learning to read archetypal patterns and seeing them operate in your life and the lives of others will give you a higher perspective and enable you to see things symbolically. Symbolic sight gives you edge when you are making decisions as it removes the emotion from the decision and allows the Divine energy to flow through you thus releasing your highest potential.

An understanding of the key distinctions between these choices will help you  to shift your life from fate to destiny!

The ego will choose your fate versus What is out there other than yourself

Intuition serves the self        vs        Your Soul serves others

 Attachment to the known     vs   Detachment and letting go of the known

Comfort zone                       vs         high risk pursuit

Fiction                                 vs            Truth

In following the path of your Soul you will require the highest degree of dedication and the courage to follow YOUR instructions without always knowing the consequences. The Divine ultimately is asking for your total trust and surrender to what you agreed to when in spirit form. Remember you agreed to this life plan and its all there waiting for you.In doing this you align with Divine Will which is the highest form of service and the greatest struggle for your ego which is to let go and let God. This is what is required to fulfil your Sacred Purpose and understand your contract with the Divine.

Next time I’ll look at the 4 Universal archetypes;the child, saboteur, Prostitute and Victim. These are the survival archetypes which we all have and you will need to understand and manage them properly if the energy of your other 8 archetypes are to operate effectively in your life.
