There's just something about unicorns these days - don't you find? A bright new offering was delivered recently to our review box - The Night of the Unicorn, by Jenny and Tony Smedley. (O Books £7.99). Out of the mist comes a friendly unicorn to take a young girl away from all her problems to a land of perfect delight. Or so it seems. But somehow life just doesn't seem
to work out that way and sure enough soon the young girl - Kat - needs all the help she can get to overcome ...(don't want to spoil the story do we?). With her wise and courageous friends - including a wolf, an owl and of course the unicorn - Kat and her little ghost friend have to find a way out. Life is so often like that isn't it? So this modern fable pulls us in and out of dreams, misunderstandings and illusions in a real running-away adventure. Highly recommended for all kids and unicorn lovers.
